    Description:
Provides IDS intelligence, accuracy and remote patching functions.

The Intelligent IDS v1.0 is designed for existing Snort users that have already implemented and are familiar with the IDS. (For those not yet running Snort, visit www.snort.org for download and reference materials.)

After Snort has been installed, simply replace the Snort executable with the platform specific drop in replacement available on the download page. Then install the IDS console application on the same machine that the SysUpdate (Anti-Vulnerability) OnSite server is installed. Intelligent IDS data is then run through the Anti-Vulnerability OnSite backend, and the filtered output is shown in the console. The IDS console also provides the ability to patch the targeted vulnerability. content_stop
